Soul Asylum has been in existence for 37 years and has recorded 11 studio albums for Twin/Tone, A&M and Columbia, among other labels.
Their album Gravedancer’s Union went Triple Platinum and the single from it, “Runaway Train,” won a Grammy® for Best Rock Song in 1993.
Dave Pirner was part of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993, along with Pete Townshend, Chuck Berry, and Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave).
The band played at The White House for President Bill Clinton’s Inaugural Ball in 1993.
Soul Asylum was given a much coveted star on the Wall Of Fame outside legendary Minneapolis music venue First Avenue.
