JOHNNY COSTA
The Musical Director, arranger, and keyboardist for Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood from its 1968 debut until his death in 1996. Graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with degrees in both music and education. Released albums on Coral, Dot, and Savoy before becoming Musical Director for The Mike Douglas Show. Costa was given the title “The White Art Tatum” by Tatum himself.
