Was the lyricist for The Beach Boys SMiLE album, co-writing “Heroes And Villains” and “Surf’s Up. First paid gig as a musician was arranging “The Bare Necessities” for the Walt Disney film The Jungle Book. An artist at Warner Bros. Records in the 1970s, Parks was also head of the audio/visual department where he oversaw the making of music videos for WB artists.
