Michael Brown was the principal songwriter for The Left Bank (“Walk Away Renee,” “Pretty Ballerina) and formed Stories (“Brother Louie”) with Ian Lloyd in 1971. Gary Hodgden was lead vocalist, guitarist, and keyboard player in Shooting Star (as Gary West). Scott Trusty’s 1970 debut single, “I Bred Quarter Horses,” was written and produced by Michael Brown. Jimmy McAlllister and Gary Hodgden were inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame as members of Chesmann Square.
