Founder of Peabody Records, which released albums by Alex Chilton and Cybill Shepherd. Member of Mud Boy & The Neutrons with Jim Dickinson, Jimmy Crosthwait, and Lee Baker. Founder of the internationally broadcast radio program, Beale Street Caravan. His son Steve is also a Memphis musician and a member of the group The Hold Steady. Sid and Steve participated in The 78 Project film and recording.
