Formed in Seattle, WA in 1981 YFF became one of the first independent bands of their era to earn a nationwide following and critical acclaim.
Their debut album was the initial release on PopLlama Records, which became home to acts including The Posies, The President Of The United States Of America, Dharma Bums, and Fastback.
The band’s producers include Conrad Uno (The Presidents Of The United States Of America, Mudhoney), Butch Vig (Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters), and Robyn Hitchcock.
Co-founder Scott McCaughey also performs with The Minus 5, The Baseball Project, The No Ones, Filthy Friends & many more and was an auxiliary member of R.E.M. from 1994–2011.
