English-American singer, songwriter, actress, and activist. Her debut album, Get Away From Me (which received four stars from Rolling Stone), was Produced and Engineered by Geoff Emerick (The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Badfinger). Get Away From Me was nominated for the 2004 Shortlist Music Prize alongside Franz Ferdinand, Wilco’s A Ghost Is Born, and The Killers’ Hot Fuss. Appeared on Broadway as Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera, winning a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Debut Performance.
