Member of the classic gospel group The Rasberry Singers. Appeared in both the original and revival Broadway productions of The Wiz, as well as the film version of Hair. Five decade career with recording on labels including Vee-Jay, Savoy, Mercury, RCA, Loma, Atlantic, and Columbia. Hall’s ’60s/’70s producer Jerry Ragovoy is the writer of hits including “Time Is On My Side,” “Stay With Me,” “Piece Of My Heart,” and “Get It While You Can.”
