Reissue of Cindy’s 1996 album, contains 6 previously unissued bonus tracks
After 5 years out of the spotlight, Cindy Lee Berryhill returned in 1994 for the ambitious Garage Orchestra. Sadly, just after that album’s release, her boyfriend and future husband, Crawdaddy! magazine founder Paul Williams, suffered a traumatic brain injury after a bicycling accident. It would take until 1996 for Straight Outta Marysville to arrive. It was worth the wait.
Taking off where Garage Orchestra began Straight Outta Marysville contains much of the same inventive writing and playing, with Cindy Lee’s vocals from and center. After reappearing in 2017 with her first new album in a decade, The Adventurist, it became apparent that her 1990s releases warranted reissue. Straight Outta Marysville returns with the original release’s 14 songs plus 6 previously unissued bonus tracks! It’s the perfect way for those who recently discovered her to look back, and a wonderful upgrade for those who love the original.
Packaging contains photos and new liner notes from Cindy Lee, as well. She will be touring in the fall, and we’re sure tracks from this release will make their way straight into the set list. So, now is the perfect time to go straight to your favorite retailer and get Straight Outta Marysville.
