We hope everyone had a great 4th! Our fireworks went off the day before with the release of Jellyfish, Live At Bogart’s, on CD and laser-etched limited-edition double LP on translucent-blue vinyl (wow!). The blue vinyl first pressing is likely to go fast, so track one down soon if you want one for your collection. Up next, on Tuesday, July 17, is the brilliant Sam Phillips album, Martinis & Bikinis on CD and limited-edition double LP on white vinyl! Sweet! Sam gave us four bonus tracks for this reissue, one of which, a new version of the great, “Strawberry Road,” she recorded specifically for this release! Uh, she’s awesome! Next release announcements coming this week, lots of great stuff coming up, stay tuned!

It’s Tuesday, there must be something new from Omnivore.
Yep, Buck Owens “Live” At The White House (…And In Space) on CD & Digital, and Ernie Kovacs Presents Percy Dovetonsils… thpeaks on CD, Digital & a gorgeous 12″ LP on lavender vinyl with a download card. Truck on over to our webstore and get yourself one or two or three…

Check out this recent interview with Berton & Prescott from The Knack by our pal Bruce Rave at Moheak Radio! In addition to talking with the guys, Bruce previews selections from The Knack’s Havin’ A Rave-Up: Live In Los Angeles, 1978, available on CD and Digital here at Omnivore.
The Buck Owens Coloring Book E.P. (with red, white or blue Flexi-disc!) blew off the shelves on Record Store Day, and though we have no crystal ball to figure out what’s going to sell and how many, we anticipated that this one might just become scarce very quick. So as we were hand-assembling them, we held 150 back for a webstore exclusive. These are unique as they contain all three color flexis! You got it, all three flexi’s are included in this small, special run — red, white and blue! Check them out in the webstore! Also available in the webstore is the digital version of the flexi tracks.

We’re thrilled to release another one of our absolute favorite albums from the ’90s, Martinis And Bikinis by Sam Phillips! Produced by T Bone Burnett and released in 1994, this is a true classic and we worked closely with Sam to make sure every attention to detail has been properly tended. Sam chose to add four bonus tracks to both the remastered CD and double LP. Among them a brand new recording of “Strawberry Road” that was cut specifically for this release. This album was originally only available on CD, but we’re pressing a double LP version and the first 1,500 of them will be on white vinyl (black vinyl thereafter). Get your copies now from our webstore.

We’re proud to say that The Motels Apocalypso release has been honored in the 11th Annual Independent Music Awards as Best Reissue! Thirty years after this album should have hit the streets, it’s finally received its well deserved accolades! Congratulations and thank you to The Motels for making such a fine album.
Head over to the shop to pick up a copy of the flaming orange vinyl LP or dig it with bonus tracks on the CD. A digital EP of the demos is also available! Truly an album on fire!
As you patiently wait for Ernie Kovac’s previously unissued Percy Dovetonsils album to be released, catch up on more Ernie with this awesome DVD set from our pals at Shout! Factory.

Coming July 3, Jellyfish Live At Bogart’s features thirteen tracks including five previously unissued performances. This set was recorded in 1991 at Bogart’s (hence the clever title) in Long Beach, California while the band were on tour supporting their debut album Bellybutton. Available for pre-order on CD or as a double LP with three sides of music and one side with laser-etched art. The first 1,500 copies will be pressed on translucent blue vinyl, and when those are gone, they’re gone! (If you’ve been paying attention, you saw what happened to our first colored-vinyl pressings of the two Jellyfish studio albums, so get it together and pre-order now to reserve your blue vinyl copy). We’ll have an open-ended pressing on black vinyl after the blue vinyl is gone.

We hope everyone had a great Record Store Day!
This was our second one, and it went swimmingly with Buck Owens Coloring Book EP and The Knack Live In Los Angeles, 1978 10″ selling out across the country. Thank you all for your support. And, just so you understand the method to our madness, those titles we picked for RSD were not random at all…
Coming May 22, Omnivore is pleased to release The Knack Havin’ A Rave-Up! Live In Los Angeles, 1978 on CD and digital. Yes, the a-side of the RSD 10″ was just a primer. Those two tracks will be joined by 12 more on this “official bootleg,” taken from the personal archives of The Knack’s late frontman, Doug Fieger. Comprised of material from their first public gig ever, it features soon to be hits like “My Sharona” and “Good Girls Don’t”, but also Knack songs never released in any form including “Evil Lies” and “Here On This Lonely Night.” Transport yourself back in time to the Whisky a Go-Go and The Troubadour in the hot summer of ’78 and hear why every record label wanted to get The Knack!
June 19th brings a pair of releases. Buck Owens “Live” At The White House sees its first release on CD and digital. The four tracks from the RSD Coloring Book EP find themselves back where they belong on this classic 1972 release. But, to make it even cooler, we’ve added 6 bonus tracks that have never been heard on planet Earth! When Apollo 16 launched 40 years ago this month, Buck and The Buckaroos recorded a 6 song set for the astronauts to listen to up in space. Omnivore is proud to release them for the first time, as bonus tracks on “Live” At The White House (…And In Space).
Altho on the 19th cometh a thepethial releath. Oopth, thorry. Visionary funnyman and entertainment pioneer Ernie Kovacs recorded an album as his beloved character, Percy Dovetonsils. The album was recorded in 1960, but never released. In our first collaboration with EdiAd Productions, Omnivore is proud to bring you Ernie Kovacs Presents Percy Dovetonsils… thpeaks on LP, CD and digital. In addition, the CD contains 6 never before heard bonus tracks from the Kovacs Unlimited broadcasts. A thuper releath for thur! The first 1,000 copies of the LP will be on lovely, lavender vinyl (with a black vinyl run afterward) and will continua a download card for the entire album plus the bonus tracks from the CD.

Just a reminder that last year’s Buck Owens 7″ containing early versions of “Close Up The Honky Tonks”/”My Heart Skips A Beat” is now available digitally at the Omnivore webstore and wherever fine digital music is sold. Plus you can pre-order any of the releases above in our webstore!
